Ajisope Development Initiative Endorses Tinubu for Second Term

By Kehinde Emmanuel, Ilorin

The political landscape of Osun State witnessed a significant gathering on Thursday as the Ajisope Development Initiative formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for re-election in 2027, describing his second-term bid as a top priority and a non-negotiable commitment for the organisation and its supporters.

The founder of the Ajisope Development Initiative and Aare Musulumi of Oba Land, Alhaji Abdul Kabiru Okikiola Adeoye Ajisope, made the declaration while addressing a large gathering of followers, coordinators, women leaders, youth leaders and other members of the initiative at its secretariat in Oroki Estate, Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

In his address, Ajisope, a renowned grassroots mobiliser, emphasised that the organisation’s primary political focus at this time was to ensure the successful re-election of President Tinubu for a second term under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

According to him, the Tinubu 2027 project takes precedence over every other political consideration before the group, stressing that no other election is more important to the organisation at this time than securing the President’s re-election.

“Our focus now is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The Tinubu 2027 re-election project is paramount to me, more than any other election. I want all our members to remain resolute and committed to this cause,” he declared.

The Aare Musulumi urged his supporters across Osun State, particularly those in the Osogbo, Olorunda and Orolu Federal Constituency, to remain steadfast, united and determined in pursuing the Tinubu 2027 agenda.

Demonstrating his resolve to ensure total commitment to the initiative’s political objectives, Ajisope warned individuals who were doubtful or displayed double standards in their political allegiance to reconsider their membership of the organisation if they were unwilling to demonstrate genuine loyalty and commitment to President Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Reflecting on his experience during the last governorship election in Osun State, Ajisope expressed displeasure over what he described as the failure to recognise and appreciate the contributions and sacrifices made by him and his group before and during the election.

He lamented that, despite the group’s efforts, the Ajisope Development Initiative was neither adequately recognised nor appreciated for its role.

However, he noted that the experience had taught the organisation valuable lessons that would guide its future political engagements, adding that the group had become wiser and more strategic in its political calculations.

Earlier, leaders of the initiative from the three local government areas that make up the Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu Federal Constituency, in their separate remarks, appealed to members to put the past behind them and embrace a renewed political direction with greater determination.

They urged members of the Ajisope Development Initiative to remain united, shun divisive tendencies and work diligently towards President Tinubu’s victory in the 2027 general elections.

The leaders expressed confidence in the organisation’s grassroots mobilisation capacity, stating that it had the structure and numerical strength to mobilise substantial votes for the President.

The meeting, which attracted coordinators, women leaders, youth leaders and supporters from across the federal constituency, ended with a renewed commitment to intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of the Tinubu 2027 re-election project.

The development signals the Ajisope Development Initiative’s readiness to commence an extensive mobilisation campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
