ALGON President Engr. Bello Lawal Receives Prestigious Excellent Leadership Award

The National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Engr. Bello Lawal, has been honored with the Excellent Leadership Award by Democracy Newsline Newspaper at the 15th Annual Public Lecture and Awards Ceremony held in Abuja.
The event, themed “Role of Independent Media Organizations in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria,” brought together stakeholders and dignitaries from various sectors.
Engr. Lawal, who is also the Executive Chairman of Kaita Local Government Area in Katsina State, was represented at the ceremony by Hon. Mustapha Ahmed.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Ahmed expressed gratitude to the organizers on behalf of Engr. Lawal, stating that the recognition reflects his commitment to providing effective leadership as ALGON President and Chairman of Kaita Local Government Area. Ahmed reiterated Engr. Lawal’s resolve to continue delivering quality leadership to the association.
Other notable recipients of the awards included Engr. Abubakar Momoh, Minister of Regional Development; Hon. Yetunde Adeniji, Senior Special Assistant to the President; Chief Edward David Onoja, former Deputy Governor of Kogi State; and Hajiya Ramatu Ibrahim, among others.
The award serves as a testament to Engr. Lawal’s impactful leadership and dedication to promoting grassroots development and good governance in Nigeria.
