Amb. Gabriel Abinu Launches Monthly N20,000 Stipend for Elderly in Lokoja

Renowned philanthropist, Ambassador Coach Gabriel Abinu, has kicked off a monthly empowerment initiative for the elderly in Lokoja with a cash stipend of ₦20,000 for each beneficiary.

The gesture, which began on Saturday, is part of Abinu’s ongoing commitment to improving the lives of the less privileged and vulnerable members of society.

Speaking during the disbursement, Ambassador Abinu, represented by Comrade Shaibu Bello, emphasized the importance of giving back to society and showing love to the elderly.

“I am always delighted to see people smile. Our fathers and mothers who are aging deserve our love and care. This is why I have resolved to place them on a monthly stipend of ₦20,000. By the special grace of God, I intend to extend this gesture to other local government areas,” he said.

He added that no contribution is too small when it comes to impacting lives positively:

“It is important for every one of us to make a meaningful impact in society. We must show compassion to the needy and create opportunities for them to live with dignity.”

Ambassador Abinu is widely celebrated for his numerous humanitarian interventions. He has sponsored thousands of students across Kogi State by paying for their Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations and has provided boreholes for several communities in Lokoja Local Government to ensure access to potable drinking water.

Expressing their appreciation, beneficiaries described the initiative as timely and life-saving.

Mohamed Mathew, speaking on behalf of the recipients, said:
“We are deeply grateful to Ambassador Abinu for this kind gesture. It is rare to find young people with such a passion for the elderly. May God continue to give him the strength and resources to do more.”

Another beneficiary, Aisha Alawo, offered prayers for the philanthropist:

“God will continue to remember Ambassador Gabriel Abinu. His pocket will never run dry, and the enemies will never see him, by the special grace of God.”

Residents who witnessed the event praised the initiative as a shining example of community development and called on other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the philanthropist’s gesture.
