Izere Youths Elect New Leaders in Plateau State

Jos

Jos, Plateau State – The Afizere Youth Development Association (AYDA) has elected new leaders to pilot its affairs for the next three years. The election, held at the Izere Arena in Jos North Local Government Area, saw Vincent Nyam emerge as the President-Elect.

Three distinguished youths, Azi Aware Peter, Vincent Nyam, and Arin Jang, contested the election, presenting their manifestos to 90 delegates.

The election was monitored by notable stakeholders, including the Presidents of Anaguta Youth Movement and Buja, the PYC Chairman of Jos North Local Government Area, former Presidents of AYDA, traditional rulers, and observers.

Election Results:

– Vincent Nyam: 49 votes
– Arin Jang: 46 votes
– Azi Aware Peter: 5 votes

In his acceptance speech, President-Elect Vincent Nyam expressed gratitude to the delegates and stakeholders for their support, stating that their conscious had prevailed.

The election process was reported to have gone seamlessly, with the new leadership expected to drive the development of the Afizere Nation.
