Amb. Gabriel Abinu Urges Christians to Uphold Love, Peace at Christmas

Renowned philanthropist, Ambassador Coach Gabriel Abinu, has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of the Christmas celebration, urging them to reflect deeply on the virtues exemplified by the birth of Jesus Christ.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Abinu described Christmas as a season that symbolizes love, hope, sacrifice and peace, calling on Nigerians to allow these values guide their daily lives.

According to him, the celebration offers an opportunity for individuals to show compassion, extend love to one another and support the less privileged in society.

“Christmas is a period for us to show genuine love, preach peace and reflect on what the birth of Jesus Christ truly represents,” he said. “Jesus Christ came as a symbol of hope for humanity, teaching us humility, tolerance and selfless service to mankind.”

Abinu prayed for God’s continued blessings and protection for Nigerians, expressing optimism that the nation would witness greater unity and progress.

“As we celebrate this special day, my prayer is that God Almighty will bless and protect us all, grant us peace and enable us to enjoy the true essence of the birth of Jesus Christ,” he added.

The philanthropist also called for peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance, noting that harmony across religious and ethnic lines remains vital for national development. He particularly commended the peaceful relationship among different faiths in Kogi State, describing it as worthy of emulation.

“The level of religious tolerance and harmony being enjoyed in Kogi State is commendable. It is a testament to what we can achieve when we embrace one another in peace, regardless of our beliefs,” Abinu stated.

While extending Christmas greetings to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Abinu urged Kogites to rally behind the current administration to enable it deliver on its developmental agenda.

“I also felicitate with His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and encourage the good people of Kogi State to continue supporting his administration so that it can succeed in taking the state to greater heights,” he said.

He concluded by wishing Christians a joyous Christmas celebration and a prosperous New Year filled with peace, love and progress.
