ANA Election; Kogi Graphic Newspaper MD, promises inclusive, transparent, accountable leadership, when Elected Chairman

A chairmanship candidate in the forthcoming election of the Kogi State Chapter of Association of Nigerian Authors, (ANA), Comrade Yusuf Jimoh Itopa has promised to run a collective, transparent, accountable and a rigorous intellectual leadership when elected.

In a statement by the Campaign team led by Comrade Umar Ali, Former Caretaker Chairman of ANA, Itopa noted that a lonely tree, no matter how huge, lush and imperial it proclaims itself to be, can never make a forest, saying he will run an all inclusive administration for the good of all.

“He would hoist and fly the flag of a collective, transparent, accountable and a rigorous intellectual leadership saying he believed that a lonely tree, no matter how huge, lush and imperial it proclaims itself to be, can never make a forest. He said

Comrade Yusuf Jimoh Itopa the current Kogi State Graphic Newspaper Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer and former Chief Press Secretary to an erstwhile Kogi State Deputy Governor, appealed to members of the State Chapter of Association of Nigerian Authors, ANA, to cast their votes for him as the group prepares to conduct election into its different positions.

Speaking further, Itopa called on members to reposed confidence in him because as one of the Pioneer members of ANA, saying that he has over the years familiarize himself with the entire gamut of the fibre that ANA is, the quality and qualification that he believed had armed and could help him to turn the Association around for the good of its members and the people of Kogi State especially the literate, writing and reading Community

“Itopa, a Poet, Journalist, Media Administrator and a Graduate of Theatre Art from University of Ibadan, promised that if he was voted as Chairman of the Association, he would hoist and fly the flag of a collective, transparent, accountable and a rigorous intellectual leadership saying he believed that a lonely tree, no matter how huge, lush and imperial it proclaims itself to be, can never make a forest.

The election is scheduled to hold on Friday, 30th of May, 2025 at the premises of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lokoja.
