Sen. Karimi Commends President Tinubu for Appointing Thompson Oludare as MD NDIC
Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District and chairman on Senate Services has praised President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for appointing Mr. Thompson Oludare Sunday as Managing Director (MD) of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).
According to Karimi, the appointment is a well-thought-out decision that will reposition the corporation. With decades of banking experience, Oludare is poised to protect depositors’ funds and ensure their deposits are paid back.
The senator highlighted Oludare’s impressive academic credentials, including degrees in Economics and a PhD in relevant fields. Karimi described Oludare as a thoroughbred professional with a trademark of transparency and excellence.
“Thank you, Mr. President, for identifying a talent in the banking industry and engaging him to serve as the watchdog of the banking industry,” Karimi said. “Dr. Thompson is a round peg in a round hole, with a proven track record in banking supervision. He is a truthful and trusted hand who will be instrumental in the transformation agenda of this government.”
Karimi expressed confidence that Oludare’s appointment will stabilize the financial system, regulate insured financial institutions, and be a turning point for the sector upon confirmation.
