Ankpa LG APC Stakeholders Reaffirm Support for Tinubu’s 2027 Bid as Ramatu Ibrahim Bags Igala Chieftaincy Title

The conferment of the Omi-Akele Atta (Adeeee-bu) Igala chieftaincy title on Hajiya Ramatu Ibrahim, North-Central Women Leader of Team Tinubu 2027 and Founder of Women in Focus for Tinubu 2027, has continued to attract widespread commendation and political goodwill across Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The colourful ceremony, held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Atta -Igala’s Palace Idah, drew friends, family members, party leaders, and grassroots stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who used the occasion to reaffirm their unwavering commitment to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at a reception held in honour of the newly installed Omi-Akele Atta, APC stakeholders across Ankpa Local Government described the chieftaincy recognition as well-deserved, noting that it further strengthens the party’s political base in the Igala Kingdom.
In his address at the residence of Hajiya Ramatu Ibrahim, Dr. Kashim Akor, former Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, Abuja, and holder of the title Omachi Atta Wali, stated that the APC administration has delivered tangible benefits to Ankpa Local Government and Kogi State at large.
Dr. Akor recalled that he was appointed Director-General under the administration of late President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that many communities and tertiary institutions within the Igala Kingdom benefited from infrastructural developments during the APC-led government.
He affirmed that Ankpa Local Government would remain a stronghold of the ruling party beyond 2027, stressing that Hajiya Ramatu Ibrahim’s current national party role and her closeness to the First Family present greater opportunities for empowerment and development for the area.
He further urged the new chieftaincy title holder to sustain her humanitarian and community development efforts across the Igala Kingdom and beyond, in order to justify the confidence reposed in her.
In her goodwill message, Chief Mrs. Roseline David Agu, Kogi State Coordinator, Development Initiative for African Women, said she was compelled to identify with Hajiya Ramatu Ibrahim due to her far-reaching impact on individuals across Kogi State and Nigeria.
She praised the APC-led Federal Government and the Ahmed Usman Ododo-led Kogi State Government for what she described as compassion-driven governance, which has rekindled hope among vulnerable and disadvantaged groups.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Girl-Child Education, Hajiya Rabi Haruna, expressed delight over the recognition accorded Hajiya Ramatu Ibrahim at both the national and state levels of the party.
She noted that the APC family in Ankpa and across Kogi State feels strengthened by Hajiya Ramatu Ibrahim’s political influence, declaring total support for the ruling party in the 2027 elections.
The conferment of the Omi-Akele Atta chieftaincy title, beyond its cultural significance, provided a platform for APC stakeholders in Ankpa Local Government to publicly reaffirm their loyalty to the Tinubu-led Federal Government and the Ododo-led Kogi State administration, citing confidence in continued development and inclusive governance.
