Ankpa Lockdown: Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman’s unique capacity and acceptance
Sunday 30th July, 2023 will be remembered as a memorable and indelible day in the annals of open campaigns for the November 11th Governorship election in Kogi State, especially Kogi East as Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman unveiled its Door to Door Campaign Network across the Wards and Local Governments in Kogi Eastern Senatorial District.
Dr. Usman’s decision to launch its campaign Network thronged the street and brought everything to a standstill even when oppositions could not believe the temporarily lockdown by the teeming supporters who trooped in en mass to reaffirm their support for the choice of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU) as worthy successor to Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.
Whilst many couldn’t believe their eyes, the oppositions became speechless, resulting to making unnecessary argument because All Progressives Congress, APC supporters expressed their overhanging joy and acceptance to walk the talk with Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman.

The unveiling of Dr. Ogbo Door to Door Campaign Network has practically demonstrated his unique capacity and acceptance.
Just as the saying goes ” charity begins at home”, the event witnessed unprecedented crowd owing to the array of dignitaries, party stakeholders and representatives that were present at the inaugural ceremony.
30th July, 2023 made the Associate Professor of Political Economy a cynosure of our modern day politics fully kitted in Ododo’s created attires while giving the youthful vibes needed for the project ahead.
The man of the moment on whose honour the crowd gathered intermittently leap for joy in an obvious attempt to exhibit slightly adulterated dancing skills as the excited crowd cheered him on the podium.
The placards displayed by participants signifies “Kogi Agenda”; just as many would want to ask, why is the Rector into politics or staging a campaign Network as a renowned academia?
The answer is simple, Dr. Usman Ogbo understand that Governance is all about Continuity and consolidation.
He understands that, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo won’t thread the usual path of blame games when he assume office come January, 2024 because he has learned over years and of course, a product and key player of the new direction government led by His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
Interest could differ but one unique character of Dr. Usman Ogbo, is his ability not to compromise and retreat on any convinced struggle no matter the level of media crossfire tied to him.
He has never hide his distaste to parochial ethnic and religious sentiments.
No doubts, the All Progressives Congress, APC has found a credible and worthy successor that will continue the legacy of Governor Yahaya Bello.
30th July, 2023 was a testament to an overt aura of excitement that enveloped Ankpa vicinity and the eagle-eyed security operatives were topnotch in their duties as there was no cause for rancour.
Indeed, Dr. Ogbo has got a unique capacity and acceptance from the good people of Ankpa Local Government and this, he intend to spread across the Senatorial district and even through the entire state.
