Another PDP Chieftain Joins APC in Ebonyi

By Ben Nworie

A former candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for Ezza North and Ishielu Federal constituency in the 2023 general election, Barrister Emmanuel Nwite has joined the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state.

Barrister Nwite’s defection was barely two months after the declaration of the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim joined the APC.

Declaring his APC membership at his Ezzagu ward 1 in Ishielu Local Government area, the former PDP Chieftain noted that his decision to join the APC was not for an immediate political interest but to support the state governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru to drive home his leadership mantra, Ebonyi People’s charter of needs to all the nooks and cranny of the state.

Nwite who join the APC with thousands of his supporters added that the exemplary leadership disposition of the state governor has endeared him to the people not minding the enormous power at his disposal.

According to him: “we are joining the joining the APC to support our governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru to drive home his Ebonyi People’s charter of needs to all the nooks and cranny of Ebonyi state”.

“We are not joining APC for any immediate political interest. For those who may think that we are coming to hijack the political structure; for those who may think that we are coming to displace them, I want to allay your fears. We are to coming to flex muscles with anyone because it is God that gives power and he gives it to whomever he pleases”.

He stressed that Governor Nwifuru has shown humility to power which has further brought peace and unity in the state irrespective of political affiliations.

The former PDP Chieftain also appreciated the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the State, Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha for providing the right leadership for the party in the State as well as supporting the Governor in his drive to unite the State.

Nwite expressed delight despite the fact that APC is the ruling party both in the State and at the Federal level, Chief Okoro-Emegha has not been carried away by the euphoria of victory but rather he has been reaching out to everyone in the State irrespective of their political affiliation to support the Governor of the State to drive home his visions.

He further called on all Ebonyians to support the present administration in the state and shun any acts capable of jeopardizing the lofty visions of the state government.
