APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Meseko Commends Security Efforts, Supports JTF in Kogi
The Deputy National Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Duro Meseko, on Saturday visited the Joint Task Force stationed at Odo-Ape, Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, demonstrating his commitment to security and operatives welfare in the area.
Hon. Meseko, who was warmly received by the security personnel, presented a monetary donation of ₦200,000 to them, pledging further support in the form of food items and other essential provisions. This gesture, he stated, is a token of appreciation for their tireless efforts and sacrifices made in ensuring peace and security in the region.
During his visit, Hon. Meseko lauded the proactive approach of Kogi State Governor, His Excellency, Usman Ahmed Ododo, in tackling security challenges across the state. He urged the citizens of Kogi State to throw their full support behind the Governor’s initiatives, emphasizing that a collaborative effort is crucial for sustained peace and development.
The APC Deputy National Spokesman also extended his commendation to the President, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his unwavering commitment to eradicating banditry and other forms of criminality through the strategic interventions of the National Security Adviser’s office. He highlighted the significant strides being made in restoring stability to troubled areas.
Reiterating the collective responsibility for security, Hon. Meseko appealed to the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or movements to the nearest security agencies. “Security is everyone’s business,” he stressed, “and our collective vigilance is paramount to safeguarding our communities.”
The visit by Hon. Duro Meseko underscores his commitment to supporting security forces and fostering a secure environment for all in the area, while also acknowledging the vital roles played by both the state and federal governments in addressing national security concerns.
