APC Deputy Spokesperson Lauds Tinubu’s “THISDAY” Man of the Year Award, Citing Economic Resurgence

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Durosinmi Meseko, has extended congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for winning the prestigious “THISDAY” Man of the Year Award. The award, presented by the leading Nigerian media organization, comes as a significant recognition of the President’s efforts to revitalize the Nigerian economy.

“The significance of the award coming from a known critic of the administration can be fully appreciated when viewed from the prism of the incontrovertible turnaround the policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has brought to bear on the country,” Hon Meseko stated.
“This recognition underscores the tangible impact of President Tinubu’s policies, particularly in the energy sector.”

Hon Meseko highlighted the President’s success in bringing the Port Harcourt and Warri Refineries back to life after years of dormancy. These refineries, crucial to Nigeria’s energy independence, were effectively moribund for over a decade before President Tinubu’s intervention. “This recognition underscores the tangible impact of President Tinubu’s policies, particularly in the energy sector” he reiterated .

“The positive impact of the refineries’ revival on cost of petroleum products and its consequential effect on prices of goods cannot be overemphasized,” the APC Deputy Spokesperson added.

The “THISDAY” Man of the Year Award, a coveted accolade in Nigerian media, is known for its independent and often critical approach to evaluating the nation’s leadership. The fact that President Tinubu received this honor from such a prominent and historically critical outlet is seen as a testament to the positive changes taking place under his administration.

“President Tinubu’s commitment to delivering on his campaign promises is evident in the significant progress made across the country,” he stated. “The massive road construction projects, the decisive action against banditry, the establishment of zonal development commissions, the tax reforms, and the granting of full financial autonomy to local governments are just some of the tangible results of his leadership.”

The APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary emphasized the President’s “unwavering dedication” to improving the lives of Nigerians. “President Tinubu’s vision for a prosperous and secure Nigeria is being realized through these impactful policies,” I am confident that under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria will continue on its path to greatness” he asserted.

“I have implored Nigerians at various fora over time to persevere and be patient with the President despite the dire situation the economy of the country is in with a firm conviction that soon, things will get better”, Hon Meseko concluded.

The *THISDAY* “Man of the Year” award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of humanity. President Tinubu’s win is a testament to his impactful policies and his commitment to national development.
