The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated its National Publicity Secretary, Barrister Felix Chukwumenonye Morka, CON, on his recognition by the Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ) as the “Most Outstanding Political Marketing Communicator of the Year 2026.”
The award is expected to be conferred on Morka at the NACJ Annual Integrity Lecture and Award Conference scheduled for Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
In a statement signed by the APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, the party described the recognition as a fitting acknowledgement of Morka’s contributions to political communication and his role in articulating and communicating the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration.
The party said that, as its chief spokesperson, Morka had consistently demonstrated professionalism, clarity and intellectual depth in communicating government policies, programmes and achievements, while providing informed responses to issues of national importance.
According to the APC, his communication efforts have helped improve public understanding of major government reforms and initiatives in areas including economic reforms, infrastructure development, food security, social investment, national security and investment promotion.
The party also highlighted Morka’s nearly four decades of professional and public service in law, human rights advocacy, public policy, urban governance and democratic consolidation.
Morka is the Founder and Executive Director of the Social and Economic Rights Action Center (SERAC), and previously served as Legal Officer for Africa at the Washington, DC-based International Human Rights Law Group and as Legal Director of the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO).
The APC noted that his extensive advocacy for the rights of the urban poor and engagements with international institutions, including the United Nations, UNAIDS, World Bank and African Union, had further strengthened his expertise in public policy, human rights and political communication.
His academic credentials also include an LL.M degree from Harvard Law School.
The party further recalled that Morka’s contributions to nation-building, democracy and the rule of law received national recognition in 2025 when President Bola Ahmed Tinubu conferred on him the national honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).
The APC commended the NACJ for recognising excellence and professionalism in political communication, describing Morka’s latest honour as “well-deserved.”
As political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, the party expressed confidence that Morka would continue to deploy his experience, intellect and communication skills toward advancing the APC’s messaging objectives.
It said his role would remain important in communicating the achievements of the Tinubu administration and building greater public understanding and support for the administration.
The 2026 NACJ Integrity Lecture and Awards Conference is expected to bring together political leaders, policymakers, media professionals and other stakeholders to promote integrity, accountability, patriotism and responsible leadership, while celebrating Nigerians who have distinguished themselves through outstanding service.
The statement was signed by Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
