Kogi State APC Campaign Council

Press Statement

KOGI WEST ZONAL RALLY POSTPONED

This is to inform our teeming supporters across Kogi West that the Kogi West Zonal Rally slated to hold in Kabba on Thursday 2nd February, 2023 has been shifted as a mark of respect to two prominent leaders of our people who were taken away by the cold hands of death. One was a prominent traditional ruler in Kabba, the Obadofin Of Oweland, HRH Oba Michael Yusuf and the other, one of the most prominent Kogites from the Central Senatorial District , Dr Farouk Abdulazeez.

Our party cannot roll out the drums of campaign while the state mourn the departure of people who have contributed immensely to the development of our dear state.

To this end, the Director General of the Kogi West APC Campaign Council, Chief David Sola Ayedogbon has approved the postponement of the Kogi West APC Rally to Monday 6th February, 2023.

We regret the inconveniences created by the postponement as well as sympathize with the families that lost their loved ones.

We also commiserate with the Executive Governor of the state over the demise of those prominent Kogites. May God repose their souls.

E-signed:

Kingsley Fanwo
Chairman, Media and Publicity Committee, Kogi West APC Campaign Council
