The ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has announced its postponement of national caucus and natural executive committee meetings.
This was made known in an official statement released by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka.
The statement read “Members of the National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are hereby informed that our earlier scheduled meetings of September 11 and 12, 2024, have been postponed. “New dates will be communicated in due course.
Although no reason was given for the postponement, our correspondent gathered that President Bola Tinubu’s absence in the country was partly responsible for the development.
A source at the secretariat told our correspondent that the decision was taken following uncertainty that Tinubu would be in attendance.
“We understand that the President may not be around in the country on the said dates due to international engagement abroad,” the source said.
