Chief Isioma Okonta, Comrade Mulade Sheriff Bag Democracy Newsline Newspaper Awards, 2024
The Delta State Coordinator, Widows Welfare Scheme/Technical Head, World Bank Delta Cares livelihood Support Unit, Dr Isioma Okonta and Niger Delta Environmental and Peace Activist, Comrade Sheriff Mulade will be honored with awards of excellence following this year’s opinion polls conducted by a team of experts which found them worthy of the recognitions.
This was revealed in a press statement issued in Abuja by Elder Olalekan Aiyenigba on behalf of the management and made available to newsmen highlighting commencement of activities towards the celebration of the 14th anniversary of Democracy Newsline Newspaper which coincides with the 64th Independence anniversary of Nigeria.
The Democracy Newsline Newspaper Award (DNNA) is an annual event wherein individuals and organizations that have distinguished themselves in their chosen careers and sectors of operations are being recognized with Awards of Excellence to encourage them to do more for the nation and humanity.
He noted that the award of honor is an event of an arm of Michabifem Ventures Limited that publishes Democracy Newsline Newspaper and online blog bridging the gap between the government and its citizens as guaranteed by the international laws and 1999 constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria as amended being a member of the fourth estate of the realm.
He further stated that Dr. Isioma Okonta has been found worthy of the Leadership Award of Excellence having provided the much needed leadership as the Coordinator of Widows Welfare Scheme/Technical Head, World Bank Delta Cares livelihood support Unit which has made the unit stand out among its contemporaries in Nigeria, while Comrade Sheriff Mulade will be honored with the Environmental Activist Award as an outstanding environmental and peace activist in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.
He noted that the presentation will be held on the 9th October, 2024 at the National Merit House, Abuja by 10.am prompt.
