Aseremaseka, Hundreds of Loyalists Join APC, Applaud Leke Abejide’s Leadership and Empowerment Drive
In a significant political development in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Otunba-Mayegun Duro Olusegun Aseremaseka has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside hundreds of his loyal supporters and political associates from Iyamoye, Igbopin, and Okealuju Ward.

The historic event attracted party leaders, stakeholders, community leaders, youth groups, women organizations, and supporters who gathered to witness the formal entry of Otunba Aseremaseka and his supporters into the ruling party.
Speaking during the ceremony, Otunba Aseremaseka described his decision to join the APC as a commitment to the ideals of progressive leadership, unity, and sustainable development. He noted that the achievements of the APC-led government and the visible impact of its leaders at the grassroots level influenced his decision and that of his supporters.

He further pledged the total support of his supporters and political structure for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing confidence in the President’s vision and commitment to national development through the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Otunba Aseremaseka also paid glowing tribute to Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide Joseph (OHF), describing him as a leader, mentor, philanthropist, and a true representative of the people. According to him, Leke Abejide’s consistent investment in human capital development, empowerment programmes, educational support, and community advancement has positively transformed lives across Kabba/Bunu-Ijumu Federal Constituency.

He commended the lawmaker’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people, noting that his style of leadership has continued to inspire confidence, attract supporters, and strengthen grassroots political participation across the constituency.
The event was immediately followed by a grand empowerment programme, cash disbursement, and distribution of food items sponsored by Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide Joseph (OHF), aimed at rewarding loyal supporters and further improving the welfare of beneficiaries across the communities.
Party leaders who addressed the gathering welcomed the new members into the APC family and expressed optimism that the development would further strengthen the party’s structure and electoral fortunes in Ijumu Local Government Area and Kogi State at large.
The ceremony concluded with renewed calls for unity, peaceful political engagement, and collective support for the continued development of Kogi State and Nigeria.
