Mangal Industry Ltd Wins Okun Media Organization’s “Best Cement Industry of the Year” Award
KOGI STATE – Mangal Industry Ltd has been honoured as the “Best Cement Industry of the Year” by the Okun Media Organization, a recognition of its impact on infrastructure development and job creation in Kogi State and across Nigeria.

The award was presented during the Okun Media Organization Annual Excellence Awards held yesterday in Kabba. The event brought together traditional rulers, government officials, captains of industry, and media stakeholders to celebrate organizations driving growth in the region.
According to the selection committee, Mangal Industry Ltd earned the award for its consistent delivery of high quality cement, contribution to local economic development, and commitment to best industrial practices since operations began at its Iluhagba plant in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State . The company’s large-scale investment has also created thousands of direct and indirect jobs for youths in Kogi State.

Speaking after receiving the award, The General Manager, Administration and Human Resources, Dr Umar Musa thanked Okun Media Organization for the recognition. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s infrastructure drive and empowering host communities through CSR initiatives, skills training, and local sourcing.
“At Mangal, we believe strong infrastructure starts with strong materials and strong communities. This award motivates us to keep raising the bar in quality, sustainability, and community impact,” he said.
The Okun Media Organization anchor, Chief Smart Adekunle said the “Best Cement Industry of the Year” category was introduced to highlight manufacturers whose operations align with national development goals and support for Okunland. The group noted that Mangal’s expansion and investment in modern production technology stood out among competitors reviewed this year.
Industry watchers say the award further positions Mangal Industry Ltd as one of the fastest-growing cement producers in Nigeria, competing with established brands while focusing on affordability and regional supply.
