Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusoji Honoured as ‘Icon of Humanity, Community Development and Nation Building’ at The Exposure Awards
ABUJA — Philanthropist and human development advocate, Asiwaju Dr. Prince Olatunji Olusoji, has been honoured with the “Icon of Humanity, Community Development, and Nation Building Award” at the 14th annual lecture and award ceremony of _The Exposure Media_.
The award ceremony, organized annually by _The Exposure Newspaper_, recognizes outstanding contributions of individuals who have distinguished themselves across various fields of endeavour.
Dr. Olusoji, Chairman of Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation, PROOF, was recognized by the award team of experts for his immense contributions to the growth and development of Kogi State and Nigeria.
Worthy of note were his donation of security surveillance vehicles to security agencies and his recent contribution of *₦99 million* to the Kogi State Security Trust Fund to bolster security operations across the state. Stakeholders said the gestures demonstrate his unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of Kogi people.
Receiving the award on his behalf, former Kogi State House of Assembly member and APC chieftain, Hon. Nathaniel Ojo Taiwo, commended _The Exposure Media_ for the honour. He said the selection team painstakingly nominated individuals who have done well, highlighting Dr. Olusoji’s achievements in humanity, community development and nation building.
Conveying the philanthropist’s message, Hon. Taiwo urged Nigerians to continue having faith in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. *“The President is working round the clock for a better Nigeria, trying to right many wrongs which have hitherto brought pains on the people,”* he said.
Hon. Taiwo also pledged Dr. Olusoji’s support for _The Exposure Media’s_ office complex under construction in Abuja and appealed to other awardees to contribute to the project.
Earlier, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of _The Exposure Media_, Mr. Olayemi Gabriel, thanked awardees and guests. He stressed that the selections were based purely on merit and that *“the award was not bought or sold.”
Mr. Gabriel also called for unity in the fight against insecurity, noting that *“there cannot be meaningful development where there is no peace.”
The event, held at the National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, was themed _“Capitalizing On Credibility: How Transparent Governance and Electoral Integrity Drive Economic and Education Prosperity – The Nigerian Example.”_ It featured presentations by scholars, policymakers and industry experts.
Highlights included the unveiling of _The Exposure Newspaper’s_ ₦150 million podcast studio and the completion of its official building complex in Abuja, alongside goodwill messages and award presentations.
