ABUJA — Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District and Chairman, Senate Committee on Senate Services, has been honoured with the “Award for Legislative Excellence and Distinguished Icon of Grassroots Development and Nation Building” at the 14th annual lecture and award ceremony of _The Exposure Media_.

The award ceremony, held at the National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, is an annual programme organized by _The Exposure Newspaper_ to recognize outstanding contributions of personalities across various fields of endeavour.

Receiving the award on his behalf, his Senior Legislative Aide, Barr. Toye Ibitoye, commended _The Exposure Media_ for the honour. He said the selection team painstakingly nominated individuals who have distinguished themselves, highlighting Senator Karimi’s numerous achievements across Kogi West.

Delivering the Senator’s message, Barr. Ibitoye appealed to Nigerians to continue having faith in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. *“The President is working round the clock for a better Nigeria, stressing that the President is trying to right many wrongs which have hitherto brought pains on the people,”* he said.

Barr. Ibitoye also pledged Senator Karimi’s support for _The Exposure Media’s_ ongoing office complex project in Abuja and urged other awardees to contribute to its completion.

Earlier, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of _The Exposure Media_, Mr. Olayemi Gabriel, thanked awardees and guests for attending. He stressed that the awardees were selected purely on merit and that the award was “not bought or sold.”

Mr. Gabriel also called on Nigerians to unite in the fight against insecurity, noting that *“there cannot be meaningful development where there is no peace.”*

The event, themed _“Capitalizing On Credibility: How Transparent Governance and Electoral Integrity Drive Economic and Education Prosperity – The Nigerian Example,”_ featured presentations by scholars, policymakers, and industry experts on transparent governance, electoral integrity, economic and education prosperity.

Highlights included the unveiling of _The Exposure Newspaper’s_ ₦150 million podcast studio equipment and the completion of its official building complex in Abuja, alongside goodwill messages and award presentations to other distinguished recipients.
