Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed wins Democracy Newsline Newspaper Special Recognition Award as the Best Governor in Peace Building
The Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed has emerged winner of a Special Recognition Award as the Best Governor in Peace Building in Nigeria in this year’s opinion polls conducted by a team of experts who found him worthy of the recognition.
This was revealed in a press statement issued on Monday in Abuja by the Executive Editor, of Democracy Newsline, Elder Olalekan Aiyenigba on behalf of the management and made available to newsmen signalling the commencement of activities for the celebration of the 14th anniversary of Democracy Newsline Newspaper which coincides with the 64th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence.
He stated that the Democracy Newsline Newspaper Award (DNNA) is an annual event wherein individuals and organizations who have distinguished themselves in their chosen careers and sectors of operations are recognized with Awards of Excellence to encourage them to do more for the nation and humanity.
He said the Award of Honour Program is an event of an arm of Michabifem Ventures Limited, Publishers of Democracy Newsline Newspaper and Weblog bridging the gap between the government and its citizens as guaranteed by the international laws and 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended being a member of the fourth estate of the realm.
He further stated that Senator Bala Mohammed has proved his worth as an outstanding Lawmaker during his sojourn at the Red Chamber before he was appointed Minister of FCT by President Jonathan’s administration and since he assumed office as the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, the state has witnessed tremendous peace devolve of security threat aside his monumental achievements across other sectors of the state economy and being the leader Governor of the opposition party in the country.
