BRAIMOH’S RISING POPULARITY UNDISPUTED; DISREGARD FABRICATED POLLS — Braimoh Campaign Group Appeals to Kogi Voters

The Braimoh Campaign Organisation (BCO) is urging the people of Kogi State to dismiss the fabricated figures being circulated by some desperate supporters of a specific candidate in the upcoming November Gubernatorial election. These supporters falsely claim to have conducted an opinion poll in a closed WhatsApp group that supposedly favoured their candidate among voters in the Kogi West Senatorial District.

In a statement released by the BCO in Lokoja, it is emphasized that these claims by the supporters of the particular candidate only demonstrate their desperation — given the rising profile of Olayinka Braimoh in the race to Lugard House.

“The figures released from a so-called opinion poll, which was limited to members of a specific WhatsApp Group consisting mainly of supporters of the candidate in question, do not align with the actual situation across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State.

“These skewed opinion polls, driven by biased and premeditated agendas, cannot be taken seriously. This is why, in our commitment to transparency, it is important to inform the people of Kogi State, particularly the Okun community, about why these polls should be completely disregarded.

“The online polling landscape in Nigeria has suffered significant setbacks due to the manipulation of the process during the recent presidential elections. Certain individuals exploited polling results to further their own interests and agendas, and the current situation in the closed WhatsApp Group that has limited demographic spread amongst likely voters in Kogi State reflects this malpractice.

“Therefore, the Braimoh Campaign Organisation urges reputable and independent polling companies to intervene and conduct an unbiased assessment in Kogi State. This will determine the validity of the so-called polls conducted within a closed WhatsApp group, where the supporters of a particular Gubernatorial Candidate outnumber those of any other party.

“If an impartial and credible poll were to be conducted today, Nigerians and the people of Kogi State would witness the overwhelming acceptance of Olayinka Braimoh, the Action Alliance (AA) Gubernatorial Candidate, by the people of Igala Kingdom, Ebiraland, Okunland, and the entire populace of Kogi State. Braimoh is undeniably the preferred leader to guide our state into the future.

“Polls are scientific endeavours, not the poorly-executed activity undertaken by the desperate supporters who are keen to impress their candidate by projecting their candidate through propaganda,” the Braimoh Campaign Organisation stated.
