Hon. Emmanuel Obaro has clinched the All Progressives Congress ticket for the Yagba East State Constituency seat in the Kogi State House of Assembly, winning all 10 wards in the party primary held on today, Wednesday 20th May, 2026
Party officials and observers said Obaro secured a landslide victory across the local government, cementing his position as the APC flagbearer for the next Kogi Assembly election.
The direct primary, conducted simultaneously across the 10 wards of Yagba East, drew a large turnout of party members. Results announced at the end of the exercise showed Obaro polling the highest votes in each ward, with no ward going to his challengers.
