Bunu Kingdom Celebrates Olubunu’s Centenary Birthday and 64th Coronation Anniversary as Olubunu
The people of Bunu Kingdom will on the 20th of July, 2025 roll out drums with pop and pegandtry to celebrate the 100th Birthday and 64th Coronation Anniversary of its revered monarch, His Royal Majesty Oba Joseph Adebayo Ikusemoro. The event is scheduled to hold on Sunday, July 20, 2025, in Olle Bunu, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The epoch-making event will feature cultural displays, tributes, and festivities to honor the Kabiyesi’s legacy of leadership, peace, and development.
His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State, is expected as the Special Guest of Honour, alongside other dignitaries, traditional rulers, and well-wishers.

The series of events is scheduled to commence with a thanksgiving service at the St Paul’s Anglican Church, Olle Bunu by 9am.
The Thanksgiving Service will be followed with a grand reception that promises to be entertaining as cultural troops across Bunuland will be on the ground to showcase Bunu’s rich cultural heritage.
The Bunu people warmly invite friends, sons, and daughters of the kingdom to join in celebrating this historic milestone.
