KOGI STATE GOVERNMENT INAUGURATES NEW BOARD CHAIRMAN & MEMBERS FOR THE KOGI STATE SWIMMING ASSOCIATION.
In a bid to further promote sports development in the state, the Kogi State Government has inaugurated a new board for the Kogi State Swimming/Rowing Association & other sports associations.
The new board, which is composed of experienced and dedicated individuals, is expected to take the state swimming association to greater heights.
The chairman and members of the board were sworn in by the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, who charged them to work tirelessly towards promoting swimming in the state.
They new chairman and board members are:
1.Chief Aiyelabowo Adebanji Austin, Chairman
2. Tosin Olukoyo PhD, Vice Chairman.
3. Hon. Baba Ojonugwa, member.
4.Hon.Patricia Balogun, member.
5. Christina Oyibo, member.
6. Hon.Musa Husseni Nifo,member.
7. Comrade Michael Achor Joshua, member.
8. Mrs ALami Yinusa Ibrahim (Secretary) Representative of the Sport council.
The inauguration ceremony, which took place at the Lokoja international stadium was attended by stakeholders in the state’s sports sector.
The Governor of Kogi State, in his remarks presented by the honourable commissioner, expressed his administration’s commitment to supporting sports development in the state. He urged the new board to be proactive and innovative in their approach to promoting swimming, and to work towards producing talented swimmers who will make the state proud.
The inauguration of the new board is a clear demonstration of the Kogi State Government’s commitment to promoting sports development and empowering the youth in the state.
