Bunu Traditional Ruler Praises Braimoh’s Plan for Kogi State
The traditional ruler of Bunu Kingdom, Oba Joseph Adebayo Ikusemoro, has commended the candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in the forthcoming Governorship Election in Kogi State, Mr. Olayinka Braimoh for the brilliant and progressive programme and plan contained in his manifesto aimed at taking the state to the greatest height if elected governor.
The traditional ruler who spoke in his palace while receiving Braimoh and his entourage noted that there was nobody who will listen to the lofty ideas articulated by the AA candidate without loving them. The Olubunu also urged Braimoh to take his campaign to all the nooks and crannies of the state and develop the strategy for achieving the plans.
The visit to the Olubunu that was meant for the AA governorship candidate to officially inform the king and his people about his governorship ambition and seek for their support saw Braimoh being honoured with a rousing welcome as indigenes came out enmass with drums, singing and dancing to the admiration of Olayinka and his entourage.
Oba Ikusemoro was specially happy to receive Braimoh who he described as his son. He fervently prayed and admonished him not to forget home when he eventually becomes the Governor while also urging him to be just to all the sections of the state.
Braimoh, who was happy to see his people in such a joyous mood, promised to be a good ambassador of Bunuland and explained that his government will ensure that poverty is driven out of Kogi State.
He explained his wealth creation model by saying that it will eliminate unemployment because Kogi State will be positioned among the wealthiest states in Nigeria.
