The highly anticipated inauguration, scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m., is set to mark a turning point in the socio-economic and cultural advancement of the region.

Founded on the belief that “Where women lead, communities prosper,” BWDF is a visionary platform dedicated to empowering women through education, entrepreneurship, skills acquisition, mentorship, and community development. The forum aims to uplift the voices of Bunu women, foster unity, and drive inclusive growth from the grassroots level.
Speaking on the even, the Interim President, BWDF, Evang. Abigail Aledare said the event marks the birth of a movement.
“We are building a future where women are not only heard but lead initiatives that shape our community’s destiny.”
The Interim Secretary, Mrs. Olubunmi Aroniyo who spoke on the Association’s vision disclosed that the BWDF is deeply committed to tackling the pressing challenges faced by women in Bunu land.
“We are coming together to leverage our strength in our individual career and endeavours to promote economic independence through practical skills and entrepreneurship, supporting widows and the less privileged, encouraging political participation among women, and preserving Bunu’s rich cultural heritage”.

The BWDF’s launch event invites all well-wishers, friends, community leaders, and stakeholders to join in celebrating this milestone.

Dignitaries and Guests will witness the unveiling of a forum that represents strength, unity, and purpose.

The inauguration promises not only a celebration of heritage and resilience but also a powerful reminder of the potential that lies in collective action—especially when led by women.
