Chief Daniel Olumoko Clinches Lifetime Achievement Award at Ekinrin-Adde Day 2026

Chief Daniel Ademola Olumoko, the Olufaye of Adde, Ekinrin-Adde, is one of the notable elders of the community to be honored with Lifetime Achievement Award.

According to Pastor Emmanuel Ajibola Ogungbuyi, the Publicity Secretary of Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA), the conferment of the award on Chief Daniel Ademola Olumoko, widely known as Emiloju, is a recognition of a lifetime legacy of selfless service and dedication to the health and development of Ekinrin-Adde and its people.

Chief Daniel Ademola Olumoko was born on 4 July 1939 to the family of Pa Chief Jacob Oniaiyegbami Olumoko and Madam Zipporah Oniyele Olumoko of Igaga Community, Ekinrin-Adde.

He started his educational journey at Baptist Primary School, Ekinrin-Adde, where he bagged his First School Leaving Certificate in 1957. Determined to advance his education, he subsequently enrolled as a private candidate and successfully obtained his General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level qualification.

Driven by a desire to serve humanity through healthcare, he proceeded to Nursing School in Zaria where he earned the Nigeria Registered Nursing Certificate in 1963.

In 1974, he gained admission into Ahmadu Bello University to study Anesthesia and Intensive Care in the Faculty of Medicine. Through hard work, he completed the programme with distinction.

Chief Olumoko served in various parts of the former Northern Region, particularly within present day Kogi and Kwara States. He rose to the rank of Principal Nursing Officer in the healthcare sector and eventually retired from the Ministry of Health, Kwara State, in April 1984.

Retirement from government service did not mark the end of his commitment to healthcare delivery. In 1985, he returned to his hometown of Ekinrin-Adde and established Emiloju Medical Clinic, a healthcare facility that has turned to a brand continued to provide medical services to the community and surrounding areas for decades.

The Emiloju clinic is a testament to Chief Daniel Ademola Olumoko’s commitment to the wellbeing of his people.

As a pensioner, he was elected Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Ijumu Chapter, a position he held for eight years. During his tenure, he worked to promote the welfare of pensioners and advocate for their interests.

He was appointed Regent of Ekinrin-Adde in 1996. He faithfully steered the wheel of the community until May 2002.

Chief Daniel Ademola Olumoko holds the traditional title of Olufaye of Adde land and serves as the Baale of Igaga Community.

A devoted family man, Chief Olumoko is happily married and blessed with wonderful children.
