CHIEF ERICO PAYS LAST RESPECT AS EX-KOGI GOV IBRAHIM IDRIS GOES HOME
Chief Dr. Joseph Ameh Erico, APC Senatorial Candidate for Kogi East, on Friday paid his last respects to the former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, who was laid to rest in Abuja.
Chief Erico was present at the National Mosque, Abuja, for the funeral prayers held in honour of the deceased. He thereafter proceeded to the Gudu Cemetery, where the remains of the former governor were committed to mother earth in accordance with Islamic rites.
He acknowledged the late governor’s years of service to Kogi State and his contributions to the political development of the state, noting the enduring impact of his years in public service.

He described the passing of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris as a loss to Kogi State and the nation, while extending his condolences to the immediate family, friends, associates and all those who mourn the former governor.
The APC Kogi East Senatorial Candidate urged the bereaved family to take solace in the life of service lived by the deceased and the memories he left behind.
Chief Dr. Erico prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, accept his good deeds and grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.
He joined notable dignitaries, including the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo; former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello; and other prominent politicians, government officials, leaders and well-wishers who gathered to honour the late former governor and bid him a final farewell.
