Chief Kunle Abogun, CEO/Managing Director of Abogun Motors, has etched his name in the annals of Amuro communities through his remarkable acts of philanthropy and community development.

In a gesture that has been widely acknowledged, Chief Abogun fully cleared the National Examination Council (NECO) examination fees for both internal and external SS3 students of Amuro Community Secondary School, ACSS, in 2026.

This intervention relieved parents and guardians of a significant financial burden and ensured that no student was denied the opportunity to sit for their examinations.

Beyond education, Chief Abogun demonstrated his commitment to infrastructure development by mobilizing a grader from Lokoja to repair roads severely affected by gully erosion in the new site of Amuro communities.

Although the grading exercise was scheduled for 10 days, only 7 days were completed due to an emergency call the operator received from the company. Consequently, Agbajogun and parts of the planned route were left out.

The company, however, assured the community that it would return within a short period to complete the outstanding work.

In the same spirit of service, Chief Abogun also pledged to provide an additional batch of solar street lights to further enhance safety and night-time activities across the communities.

Dr Gilbert Olatunji Obajemu, the President of Amuro Community Development Association (ACDS), hailed Chief Abogun for philanthropic his gesture describing it as unprecedented benevolence towards Amuro people.

He stressed that Chief Abogun had spent so much to make the road grading and the street lights project a reality.

“Let us work together to make our homeland a model of progress and a reference point for good governance and communal responsibility,” he said.

Meanwhile, the people of Orokere Amuro have since expressed profound gratitude to Chief Abogun for his generous donation of street lights and sponsorship of road grading projects across the community, describing the gesture as rare, exemplary, and deeply impactful.

In an appreciation letter signed by OWA President, Mr. Peter Olusegun, on behalf of HRH Oba Michael Arogbonlo and the entire people of Orokere Amuro, the community commended Chief Abogun’s commitment to improving local infrastructure and quality of life.

According to the letter, the provision of street lights has significantly enhanced safety and daily living for residents, while the grading of various roads has improved accessibility and mobility for both residents and visitors.

The community noted that such interventions are uncommon and reflect a genuine dedication to community development and humanity at large.

“We are deeply grateful for your kindness and selflessness. Your contribution stands as a shining example of service to humanity and will be remembered for years to come,” the letter stated.

The community also offered prayers for Chief Abogun, asking that Almighty God continue to bless and replenish him abundantly. They wished him greater strength, divine grace, and increased capacity in all his endeavours, likening his impact to “a tree planted by the riverside, bearing fruits in all seasons.”

The Orokere Amuro Welfare Association (OWA) reiterated its sincere appreciation for Chief Abogun’s generosity and reaffirmed that the gesture would leave a lasting legacy in the community.

The community pray that the fountain of his blessings never runs dry. May God grant him sound health, long life, and greater grace to continue touching lives.

“May God replenish his resources abundantly and strengthen him to do even more for humanity.

“We also appeal to all sons and daughters of Amuro, both at home and in the diaspora, to emulate this spirit of giving.

“May God, who gives wealth, strengthens the weak, and blesses according to His will, continue to favour us and our communities in all our endeavours,” prayed
