Chief Yomi Olorunshola Denies Resignation from ADC, Says He Remains Party Member in Kogi
Chief Dr. Yomi Charles Olorunshola has denied reports of his resignation from the African Democratic Congress, ADC, describing the claim as false and unauthorized.
In an official rebuttal issued on June 3, 2026, the ADC chieftain from Ward 03, Ileteju 1, Mopamuro LGA, Kogi State, said his attention was drawn to a “purported resignation” from the party which he was “neither aware of nor consulted from ab initio before the publication.”
“I want to state categorically here that I am still a registered member of the African Democratic Congress Party from Ward 03, Ileteju 1, Mopamuro LGA, Kogi State and that I have not resigned from the party, neither have I authorized anybody to do so on my behalf,” Chief Olorunshola stated.
He urged members of the public to disregard the resignation notice being circulated, stressing that he remains a member of ADC.
The denial comes amid recent political realignments across Kogi State ahead of 2027, with several party chieftains linked to defection rumors.
Chief Olorunshola concluded the statement with: “Thank you and God bless you all.”
