COCIN LCC1 NUKPIS Celebrates Unity in Diversity

The Church of Christ in Nigeria (COCIN) LCC1 Nukpis congregation recently hosted a vibrant celebration of unity in diversity, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of its members.
The event, held at the RCC Jos Jarawa, featured various groups performing in their traditional attire, drums, and dances, all in appreciation of God’s blessings.
The Leading Pastor of the Church, Reverend Kefas Gumap, emphasized the significance of the event, stating that Christ accepts worship from all ethnic groups, and the church adopts this approach as a way of uniting its congregation.
The annual celebration allows members to express their gratitude to God in their diverse dialects and traditions.
Nukpis, a semi-urban settlement, is home to a diverse population, thanks to the presence of federal institutions such as the University of Jos, Jos University Teaching Hospital, and others.
The celebration saw participation from various groups, including the Asharwa Dancers, Men Fellowship, Church Band, Women Fellowship, Choir, Boys and Girls Bridgade, and New Life for All.
The program featured special offerings and thanksgiving, with notable attendees including the PDP Chairman of Jos North Local Government Area, Hon. Elijah Azi Itsegok, the Chief of Nukpis, Madaki Ada Bitrus Abok Kaze, and others.
The event served as a testament to the power of unity in diversity, highlighting the church’s commitment to embracing and celebrating its members’ unique cultural backgrounds.
