Col. Abayomi Dare (rtd) to receive a Prestigious Lifetime Achievements Award
The former Director, Department of Military Legal Services, a community leader and legal luminary, Col. Abayomi Dare (rtd) is set to receive a Prestigious Lifetime Achievements Award by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
According to Elder Olalekan Aiyenigba, the Executive Editor of Democracy Newsline Newspaper, Col. Abayomi (rtd) is a resourceful individual who has contributed to the territorial integrity of Nigeria when he served meritoriously in the Nigeria Army before he left office to his private enterprise.
He noted that considering his worthy services to the nation being a gallant officer who made the country proud while on assignment to Rwanda, and other areas he has the opportunity to serve while in services.

He said the prestigious award will be presented during the 15th Public Lecture and Award Ceremony scheduled to hold on August 26, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.
The program will commence with a red carpet at 5 pm, followed by the main event at 6 pm, and a dinner program.
The theme of the event is “The Role of Independent Media Organizations in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria.”
The event will feature guest speakers and key stakeholders from various sectors. Additionally, the occasion will be used to launch a ₦100 million fund for the procurement of podcast studio equipment and the establishment of Democracy Newsline Newspaper Online Television.
