The President-General of the Union of Udu Communities (UUC), High Chief Moses Uparan (JP) has said that collaborative efforts were needed to end the aged long crisis between Aladja and Ogbe-Ijaw communities.
Speaking at the weekend when he led delegation of UUC on a courtesy visit to the President General of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU Worldwide, Olorogun (Barrister) Ese Gam Oweh and members of his executive, High Chief Moses Uparan (JP) harped on the need to find a lasting solution to the crisis between the two neighbouring communities.
He disclosed that the courstey visit was also to formally present his letter of introduction from HRM Owhorhu 1, Dr. Barr. E. B. O. Delekpe JP, the Ovie of Udu kingdom as the President General of UUC, Udu Kingdom, Udu Local Government Area of the State.
Responding, the President General of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Worldwide, Olorogun (Barrister) Ese Gam Oweh, commended members of the UUC executive for the visit, describing it as timely.
He retiraited that UPU was willing to work with UUC and the Forum of Presidents General of the Urhobo Kingdoms and assured of the intervention of the Delta State Governor, His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori in bringing permanent peace between the two warring communities.
Also present during the courtesy visit were members of the Presidents General Forum of the Urhobo Kingdoms led by the Chairman, Chief Monday Arawore from Umiaghwa Abraka kingdom, Ethiope East Local Government Area of the State.
