The Advocacy Against Drug Abuse and Rehabilitation Awareness Initiative Nationwide (ADARAIN) heartily congratulates the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brigadier-General Mohammed Buba Marwa (Rtd.), on his well-deserved reappointment by the President.
In a statement issued to newsmen in Abuja, the National Coordinator of ADARAIN, Alhaji Bala Salihu Dawakin Kudu, described Marwa’s renewed mandate as a clear testament to his unwavering dedication, outstanding leadership, and exceptional achievements in the fight against drug trafficking and substance abuse across the nation.
The National Coordinator emphasized that the President’s decision to retain Gen. Marwa reflects the profound confidence reposed in his visionary leadership and the transformative reforms he continues to champion. He noted in particular Marwa’s ability to strengthen cordial working relationships with non-governmental organizations nationwide, especially those committed to combating drug abuse.
ADARAIN also expresses deep appreciation to all NDLEA State Commandants for their tireless service, cooperation, and commitment to achieving a drug-free Nigeria.
Under Gen. Marwa’s stewardship, the NDLEA has recorded unprecedented successes, supported by enhanced personnel welfare, modernization of logistics, and strategic operational reforms. These efforts have significantly advanced the nation’s anti-drug campaign and yielded remarkable results in curbing drug trafficking, abuse, and related crimes.
The National Coordinator further reaffirmed the organization’s support for the NDLEA’s zero-tolerance stance on drug offenses, urging individuals involved in drug peddling and trafficking to desist and seek legitimate sources of livelihood.
“Anyone who continues to traffic or peddle illicit substances will face investigation, arrest, and prosecution in accordance with the law,” he cautioned.
He also assured the NDLEA Chairman and the general public of ADARAIN’s unwavering commitment to deepening collaboration with communities, security agencies, and relevant stakeholders to promote a safer, drug-free society across all states.
Once again, our organization nationwide congratulates Brig.-Gen. Buba Marwa (Rtd.) on his reappointment. We pray that Almighty Allah continues to guide him, grant him wisdom, and strengthen him as he leads the national crusade against drug abuse.
Signed:
Mr. John Wakawa
