Customs Board Promotes Kehinde Ejibunu as Assistant Comptroller General (ACG), Confirms 6 ACGs, 1 DCG, 4,291 Other senior officers
The Customs coordinator of Operation Wild in the headquarters, Abuja who previously served as Area Controller in charge of Federal Operations Unit Zone A, Hussein Kehinde Ejibunu has been promoted as Assistant Comptroller General of Customs (ACG)
He was among the 7 Comptrollers whose promotion was confirmed by the Nigeria Customs Service Board during its 61st regular
meeting held on Wednesday, 18 December 2024, at the Nigeria Customs Service
Headquarters, chaired by the Honorable Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun
The board has also confirmed the appointment of one (1) Deputy Comptrollers General, Seven (6) other Assistant Comptroller Generals and the
promotion of Four Thousand Two Hundred and Ninety one (4291) Senior Officers.
The comprehensive promotion list encompasses both General Duty (GD) and Support Staff (SS) personnel who demonstrated outstanding performance in
the 2024 promotion exercise.
The newly confirmed Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Management Team members include DCG S Chiroma (North-East) and ACGs ZM Gaji (North-East), OA Adebakin (South-West), GM Omale (North-Central), MS Yusuf (North-Central), DA Nnadi (South-East), HK Ejibunu (North-Central), and D Hassan (North-East).
The Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed/promoted officers and further urged them
to redouble their efforts in fulfilling the critical roles of revenue generation,
trade facilitation, and suppression of smuggling.
While extending warm wishes for joyous Christmas and New Year celebrations, the CGC further expresses gratitude to the Honorable Minister of Finance for facilitating the timely conclusion of the 2023 promotion cycle.
Acknowledging the historic success, the CGC pledges to maintain this momentum in future exercises.
