Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, a prominent Nigerian businessman, has generously donated N1.5 billion to assist victims of the recent flood that devastated major parts of Maiduguri, Borno State.

During his visit to the Government House in Maiduguri, where he was received by Governor Babagana Zulum, Alhaji Dantata expressed his deep condolences to the people of Borno and those who lost loved ones in the flood. He also offered prayers for peace in the state and across Nigeria.

Governor Zulum, in his response, expressed profound gratitude, acknowledging the rare act of kindness from the 96-year-old philanthropist.

“The people of Borno deeply appreciate this show of humanity… May Allah bless and reward you with Aljannah. Mu gode, Baba,” Zulum said.

Alhaji Aminu Dantata, a nephew of Alhaji Aliko Dangote, is the patriarch of the Dantata family, renowned for their longstanding contributions to Nigeria’s economy and society.
