Deaconess Mrs Helen Ageji Idachaba JP Bags Service Award at 65th Anniversary of UEC Kaduna

The Matriarch of former Director General, National Broadcasting Commission, NBC Professor Armstrong Idachaba and current President, Ukomu Igala, Dr Mike Idachaba, Deaconess Mrs Helen Ageji Idachaba JP, was honored with Service Award by the United Evangelical Church, UEC Challawa, Kaduna.
The award held during the celebration of the 65th anniversary of its existence attracted people from all walks of life.
Deaconess Mrs Helen Ageji Idachaba JP was the foundation member and first Women President, Qua Iboe Church , North Central Congress now United Evangelical Church UEC.
The United Evangelical Church, UEC Challawa ( Formerly Qua Iboe church Angwa Shanu Kaduna) on Sunday the 22nd of March 2026 Marked 65 years anniversary of its existence.
The anniversary which is significant to the Igala people, as the church served as perhaps the only spiritual rallying point for young Igala people, migrating from Igala land to Urban Nigeria for the first time in their lives in post Independence Northern Nigeria.
Notable Igala Christians like Late Paul Achimugu , Late Stephen Achema; Late Arc Gabriel Aduku , found the church in tne 60’s as a veritable platform for Igala cohesion, unity and Christian worship.
At the 65th anniversary of its existence, the church went into history to recognise some who selflessly contributed to its evolution and impact especially in Northern Nigeria.
Among those celebrated is 87 year Hon. Deaconess Helen Ageji Idachaba JP. First Women President of the Qua Iboe North central congress.
Mrs Dorcas Shaibu an EU Development Expert and Elder Joel Abuh her son- in law received the award on her behalf.
Hon Deaconess Mrs Helen Ageji Idachaba is mother of the National leader of Ukomu Igala , Dr Mike Idachaba and Professor Armstrong Idachaba.
Others Awardees are Dr Stephen Achema who served as President of the youth Wing of the church.
Also honored are Pastor Unubi and Mrs Inajoh mother of Josephine and Nathaniel Inajoh.
The award reminisces the political sojourn of Igala elites who have moved from from their native Igala land to Kaduna to offer their services to the country and the Northern regional government.
A people who have held the Igala value of deep spirituality; discipline and integrity as core Igala legacies.
