The Honourable Minister of Defence, H.E. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, graced the closing ceremony of the National Annual Seminar on Ramadan Tafsir, organized by the National Headquarters of Jama’atu Izalatul Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS).
The event took place at the JIBWIS Secretariat in Abuja, bringing together Islamic scholars and leaders from various regions of the country.
As the Chairman of the occasion, the Minister delivered a thought-provoking address that highlighted the importance of Ramadan, the role of Islamic teachings in national development, and the need for unity among Muslims. His speech emphasized the values of faith, discipline, and service to the nation, values that are deeply rooted in the teachings of Islam.
Prominent Islamic scholars in attendance included the National Chairman of JIBWIS, Sheikh Dr. Abdullahi Bala Lau, whose efforts in organizing the seminar have been commendable. Also present was former Minister of Communications, Sheikh Isa Ali Pantami, who offered his insights on the relevance of the Tafsir in fostering spiritual growth and unity within the Muslim community.
The closing ceremony was a significant event, not only because of the distinguished personalities who attended but also for the inspiring messages shared throughout the program.
