In a show of growing public confidence, Deltans across the state have reiterated their support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, citing the tangible dividends of democracy being delivered through key infrastructure, social, and economic projects.
Speaking to journalists yesterday, Hon. Clement Ofovwi, popularly known as General Oloye and Special Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters, emphasized that the state’s transformation under Governor Oborevwori reflects a government committed to inclusive growth and people-centered development.
“The people of Delta State have seen the fruits of Governor Oborevwori’s vision,” General Oloye said.
“From road construction to healthcare, youth empowerment to education, every facet of the MORE Agenda is touching lives. It is no wonder Deltans are rallying behind this administration.”
He listed several initiatives that have reinforced public trust in the state government:
Infrastructure Development: The ongoing rehabilitation and construction of roads in Warri, Asaba, and other local government areas have eased transportation bottlenecks and stimulated local economies.
Healthcare Expansion: Enrollment of thousands of citizens in the Delta State Health Contributory Insurance Scheme has improved access to quality healthcare, reducing the financial burden on families.
Agriculture and Food Security: Strategic efforts of government targeted at boosting local food production while creating jobs for rural communities.
Youth and Women Empowerment: Skills acquisition programs, micro-credit schemes, and entrepreneurship initiatives have empowered young people and women across the state to become self-reliant.
Water and Sanitation: Major water projects have provided clean and safe drinking water to previously underserved communities.
Hon. Clement Ofovwi aka General Oloye also highlighted the governor’s proactive approach to security and economic revitalization. “The MORE Agenda is not just a political slogan; it is a blueprint for sustainable development that is impacting every corner of Delta State,” he added.
Political analysts say that the governor’s consistent delivery on key projects is strengthening public trust, positioning him as a model of accountable governance in Nigeria.
General Oloye concluded by urging all Deltans to remain engaged with the administration’s initiatives, stating, “Support for the MORE Agenda is support for progress, stability, and a future where every citizen benefits from the dividends of democracy. This is the Delta we all want to see.”
