DEMOCRACY NEWSLINE NEWSPAPER CELEBRATES H.E. CHIEF DAVID EDWARDS ONOJA ON HIS 52ND BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY
ABUJA — The board, management and staff of Democracy Newsline Newspaper has congratulated His Excellency, Chief David Edwards Onoja, former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, on the occasion of his 52nd birthday anniversary.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Chief Olugbemi Femi Michael, the newspaper described Chief Onoja as a patriotic leader, a grassroots politician, and a symbol of humility and service.
Chief Michael noted that during his tenure as Deputy Governor of Kogi State from 2019 to 2024, Chief Onoja distinguished himself through loyalty, dedication to duty, and commitment to the development of Kogi State under the administration of former Governor Yahaya Bello.

“At 52, Chief David Onoja has continued to stand out as a bridge-builder, a loyal party man, and a statesman who has contributed immensely to the growth of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and to good governance in Kogi State,” the statement said.
The newspaper further commended Chief Onoja for his calm disposition, accessibility, and passion for youth and community development, saying his leadership style has continued to inspire many across the state and beyond.
Democracy Newsline Newspaper said it did not make any mistakes when the former Deputy Governor was honoured with a prestigious award in 2025 by the medium. The newspaper also prayed that God would grant the celebrant long life in good health, more wisdom, and greater opportunities to continue to serve God and humanity.
“We celebrate you today, Your Excellency. May this new age usher you into greater heights and more glorious accomplishments in service to Kogi State and Nigeria,” Chief Michael added.
Chief David Edwards Onoja served as Deputy Governor of Kogi State and remains a prominent political figure in the APC and in Kogi East politics.
