Democracy Newsline Newspaper honours Dr. Y. B Usman, Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah
The management of Democracy Newsline Newspaper has honoured the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah, Dr Yahaya Baba Usman with the Leadership Award of Excellence
The award presentation which was held on 18th October,2023 at Merit House Maitama, Abuja was in celebration of the thirteen (13) year Anniversary of the media outfit and also in commemoration of the sixty-three (63) years Anniversary of Nigeria’s Political Independence.
Olugbemi Femi, publisher/CEO of Democracy Newsline, in his speech, noted that the occasion is an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the talents, achievements and contributions of individuals and organizations who have remarkably excelled in their respective fields of endeavours.
Speaking further, he said each of the awardees has demonstrated exceptional abilities, determination and unwavering commitment towards excellence. They have not only set new standards of excellence but have also become beacons of inspiration for others to follow.
Dr.Y.B Usman, the only Award recipient nominated from over forty Polytechnics in Nigeria for this year’s Democracy Newsline Newspaper Annual Lecture and Award Presentation, in his goodwill message, enjoined the media organization to keep doing the job in line with the ethics of the profession, for it is the only way to excel as an organization.
Other recipients of the Leadership Award of Excellence were H.E.Dr.Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman APC, H.E.Gen. Buba Marwa (Rtd) Chairman/CEO NDLEA, Vice Admiral Joseph Ajayi (Rtd), Vice Admiral Jibrin Usman (Rtd) Kogi State Accord Party Governorship candidate, Hajia Hadiza Mamman Vasta and others.
Present at the occasion in honour of Dr Y B. Usman was Chief Abdullahi Ohioma (former council member -Community Rep.) Mr.Bature Bitrus Polytechnic Librarian.
