Democracy Newsline Newspaper to honor Chief (Mrs) Nike Okundaye to be honored with Lifetime Achievement Award
Democracy Newsline Newspaper is set to honor Chief Mrs. Nike Okundaye, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nike Art Gallery, with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 15th Public Lecture and Award Ceremony.
The event is scheduled to take place on August 26, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.
According to a press statement signed by Chief Olugbemi Femi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Democracy Newsline Newspaper, Chief Mrs. Okundaye is a great personality who truly deserves the recognition, considering her monumental contributions to the art, traditional textile preservation, social empowerment, and fashion sector in Africa.
The event will feature a keynote speaker with prominent Nigerian scholars, award presentations, and a red carpet ceremony with the theme “Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria”.
He said the occasion will also be used to launch a 100m fund dedicated to procuring podcast studio equipments and establishing Democracy Newsline Online Television station.
The program will commence with a red carpet ceremony at 5 pm, followed by the main event at 6 pm, and a dinner program.
