Professor Emeritus Olu Obafemi to Chair 15th Edition of Democracy Newsline Newspaper’s Annual Public Lecture and Award Ceremony

Democracy Newsline Newspaper’s 15th Annual Public Lecture and Award Ceremony will be chaired by Professor Emeritus Olu Obafemi, a renowned scholar and Pro-Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology.
In a press statement signed by the Chairman and CEO of Michabifem Ventures Limited publisher of Democracy Newsline Newspaper, Chief Olugbemi Femi and made available to newsmen in Abuja.
According to the statement, the event is scheduled for August 26, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.
The ceremony aims to contribute to public discourse on issues vital to societal development, with the theme “Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance”.
He said the event will feature a red carpet ceremony at 5 pm, followed by the main program at 6 pm, and a dinner.
He also acknowledged that deserving notable personalities in Nigeria will be honored at the event, which promises to be memorable.
With Professor Emeritus Olu Obafemi’s leadership, the ceremony is expected to provide valuable insights and recognition to outstanding individuals.
