DG Hon. Funsho Olumoko Highlights Importance of Culture at Ijumu Annual Cultural Festival
The Ijumu Annual Cultural Festival has kicked off in style, with DG Hon. Funsho Olumoko delivering a stirring speech at the event.

In his address, Olumoko emphasized the significance of culture in shaping the identity and unity of the Ijumu community.
“Cultural is the heartbeat of society,” Olumoko said. “It lives in our languages, our music, our traditions, and in the way we express ourselves.”
He noted that the festival is a celebration of the community’s diversity and spirit, and provides a platform for individuals to showcase their talents and creativity.
Olumoko expressed gratitude to the royal fathers, organizing committees, volunteers, and participants who worked tirelessly to make the event a success.

Dignitaries at the event includes, the Director General, Kogi State Government House, Dr Oricha who represented Governor Usman Ododo, member House of Reps, Hon Salman Idris, the Local Government Auditor General , Siyaika Adabenege, Asiwaju Olatunji Olusoji who was installed as Agba Akin of Ijumu land, Managing Director, Ajaokuta steel company, former DG Nigeria Agriculture Insurance corporation, Mrs Shade Joseph etc
