DG, NCAA, Captain Chris Najomo to Receive Special Leadership Recognition Award

The Director General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Captain Chris Najomo, is set to receive a Special Leadership Recognition Award.
This award is based on the recommendation of a team of experts who conducted an opinion poll approving his nomination for the Public Service Leadership Award by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.

According to a press statement signed by the publisher and CEO, Chief Olugbemi Femi, Captain Najomo’s exceptional leadership skills have been recognized, particularly in navigating the complex situations that arose recently in the aviation sector.
He said the award will be presented during the 15th Public Lecture and Award Ceremony scheduled for August 26, 2025.
The ceremony will take place at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, and will feature: Red Carpet by 5pm, while the Main Event will start by 6pm, followed by a dinner program.
The theme of the event is “The Role of Independent Media Organizations in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria.” Guest speakers and key stakeholders from various sectors will be in attendance.
He also noted that the occasion will also mark the launch of a ₦100 million fund for the procurement of podcast studio equipment and the establishment of Democracy Newsline Newspaper Online Television. This initiative aims to further promote democracy and good governance in Nigeria.
Captain Najomo’s recognition is a testament to his dedication and expertise in the aviation sector.
The award ceremony promises to be a significant event, bringing together leaders and stakeholders to discuss important issues and celebrate excellence.
