Dignitaries from all walks of life attend Ikos Izere 2025
The Annual Izere Cultural Festival Ikos Izere is a unique and Significant Event of the Izere people which holds every first of January.
The 2025 Event witnessed a massive Crowd that turned out en-mass at the Venue of the occasion,the famous Izere Arena in Gwafan (Lamingo) in Jos North Local Government of Plateau state.
Dignitaries from all walks of life which includes the Right Hon. Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Gabriel Dawen,Deputy Speaker,RT Hon. Isa Madaki Ajiji, Secretary to the Government of Plateau state, Architect Samuel Jatau,Senator Dachung Mwatkon, Plateau Northern Senatorial District,Hon. Alfred Ajang,Member representing Jos South/East Federal Constituency,Former Governor of the state,Senator Joshua Dariye, Executive Chairmen of Jos East and Jos North,Hon. Markus Nyam Husseini and Hon. J.K Christ.

There was dancing by various dancing groups that entertained the audience.
In his effort to strengthen and support the Afizere Cultural and Community Development Association, ACCDA. The Deputy Speaker presented a Bus to Ease transportation problem.

The Deputy Chairman of Jos East Local Government Area,Hon. Yusuf Atsen Musa said the occasion is a symbol of unity among the Izere People and their neighbors, He urged others to emulate the rich culture of the Izere People.
Mrs Anap Madaki,the National President of ACCDA, Women wing said Women are playing a significant role in the success of the Izere Nation and urged younger women to always participate in all the Izere events and support their male counterparts.
Hon. Commissioner for Information and Communications,Hon. Musa Ibrahim Ashoms said the Administration of Governor Caleb Mutfwang has awarded the contract for the Electrician of Maijuju and construction of road from Fobur,Federe and Angware road, variation of the Contract for the Construction of Fursum Maijuju road.
He said the Administration will not rest on it’s oars in providing infrastructures to the citizens of Plateau state.
Delivering his keynote address,Hon. Markus Nyam Husseini,the executive chairman of Jos East Local Government,Commended the ACCDA for a successful hosting of Ikos Izere 2025 and appeal to the entire Izere people to unite and support their leaders.
The Paramount Ruler of Izere Nation. The Agbang Agwom Izere,H.R.H Reverend Dr. Isaac Azi Wakili said the Izere People are wonderful and hospitable in nature,he appeal to the Government of Plateau state to consider the construction of roads and other meaningful projects that will have a direct impact on the Izere People.
Highlights of the event was the musical performances, fundraising and good will messages from dignitaries.
