Dire Consequences Await APC If Mutu Aspires For 8th Term As Bomadi/Patani Rep, Warns Stakeholder

A political analyst from the Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency , Mr Christopher Anthony , has stated that over 90% of the people of the constituency , including Hon Nicholas Mutu’s kinsmen from Bomadi Local Government Area, are fed up of his continuous representation since 1999.
Joshua equally took a swipe at Mutu, stating categorically , that there are no verifiable constituency projects to show for the federal lawmaker’s 27 years on the saddle as the Bomadi/Patani Federal Representative.
Speaking on Arise News “The Morning Show” monitored on Saturday the 9th of May 2026, from Warri, Delta State, the political analyst wondered how someone representing his people at the federal level could operate without a constituency office since 1999, thus depriving the very people he claims to represent , the right to pinpoint pressing needs germane to them.

Joshua accused Hon Mutu of manipulating the system to perpetuate himself in office under the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) where he has been the flagbeater of the party since 1999 till date , staying categorically that “the system continues to impose this man who has never had the support of the people of Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency , to represent them.
He added that the growing spate of protests by the people of the federal Constituency , are clear signals of widespread agitation for a change in representation and for the sister local government of the federal Constituency that has been obviously marginalized, Patani local government, to produce the next House of Representatives member for the constituency, come the 2027 general elections.
Said Joshua : ” He ( Mutu) has not done anything spectacular , considering the the number of years he has spent in office representing the people of Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency. There are no bills , even motions , attributable to him that has bettered the lot of his people since 1999. His 10 years plus stint as Chairman House Committee on NDDC benefitted us nothing . There is no single project on ground. We are being tactically underdeveloped by his actions and inactions as our representative. The point here is that his long stay in the National Assembly has not brought the expected commensurate development to us. We believe he has reached his peak and should take a bow and let others come in with fresh ideas”.
The political analyst warned of mass discontent by the people of Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency to exercise their lawful franchise to decide who they want to represent them in the federal Constituency , if Mutu still remains adamant in contesting the position for the 8th term under the All Progressives Congress, saying that the electoral effects could be devastating for the ruling party , as the people have spoken by their recent actions , that they won’t accept Mutu as their representative henceforth.
