Dr. Kashim Akor, NPOM, FNIM Bags Chieftaincy Title of Hasken Eje of Ankpa.

Dr. Kashim Akor has been conferred with the prestigious chieftaincy title of Hasken Eje Ankpa/Ufane Ane Ankpa kingdom by the Ejeh of Ankpa, Chairman of the Ankpa Local Government Traditional Council, HRH, Dr Abubakar Yakubu Ahmed 11 in recognition of his exceptional contributions to infrastructure and socio-cultural development of Ankpa kingdom.
Dr Akor, a prominent son of Ankpa kingdom, has contributed a lot to the kingdom in the area of security, infrastructure, Education, Employment opportunities to the people, empowerment, skill development / capacity building and charity, as well as the first son of the soil to provide renewable energy of “Solar Street Lights” to Ankpa town and it’s environs.

He is a seasoned administrator and community leader. He previously served as Director-General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC) and was conferred with the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) by late President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR. He is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM) and currently serves as an Arbitrator with the Industrial Arbitration Panel, positions that have earned him national recognition for integrity, productivity, and effective dispute resolution.
Beyond Ankpa Kingdom, Dr. Akor holds several traditional titles across Nigeria, reflecting his role in peace-building and community advancement. These include Omachi Atta of the Igala Kingdom, Otunba Gbeluniyi of Ilaro in Yewa Kingdom, Ochalla Ejeh Olamaboro, Achema Onojoku, and Amana Onu Ejegbo.
Community leaders, Traditional chiefs, and stakeholders across Igala land have described the honour as well-deserved, noting that Dr. Akor’s career in public service, traditional leadership, and conflict resolution continues to promote unity, productivity, and sustainable development.
The title Hasken Eje of Ankpa is regarded as one of the respected honours within the Ankpa traditional hierarchy, reserved for individuals whose service and character exemplify the values and aspirations of the Ankpa Kingdom.
The coronation ceremony will hold at a later date to be announced.
