Dr Kashim Akor NPOM, FNIM former Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, and four others honoured by Kogi State House of Assembly for their contributions to the Development of Ankpa Local Government Area.

The Kogi State House Assembly has passed a motion to commend the former Director General, National Productivity Centre (NPC) Dr Kashim Akor NPOM,FNIM and four others for their consistent community development efforts in critical areas in Ankpa Local Government Area.
While presenting the motion for the commendation on Wednesday, Hon Lawal Akus representing Ankpa 1 State House of Assembly constituency said Dr Kashim Akor and others deserved to be highly honoured for passion for community services in the area of infrastructural development, Employment, Economic empowerment, Peace and Security that spanned many decades .
He said “Even out of office, Dr Kashim Akor has continued to be involved in empowering the people of the area in the provision of renewable energy Street lights and Transformers, Distribution of Computers and Educational materials ,as well as Erosion control and Road construction across various communities in Ankpa communities.

Engr. Dr Ismaila Amodu Mohammed, Alh. Shehu Yakubu-Concern,
and Mallam Idris Yakubu. Hon Lawal Akus representing Ankpa 1 constituency said “Dr Kashim Akor had illuminated Ankpa through the provision of solar-powered Street lights across major roads and communities (from Inter-Lona Ankpa to Ejegbo Community, Balewa Road, Taiwo Road, and Yakubu-Concern Street all the way to General hospital, Ankpa),and very many settlements , installed Transformers in various communities to improve electricity supply, and reconstructed the old Abogede Road. His interventions have improved security, facilitated economic activity and enhanced community life.”
Responding to the honor done to him, the former Director General, National Productivity Center NPC, Dr Kashim Akor FNIM. NPOM. appreciated the Kogi state House of Assembly for the recognition and commendation. He added that the commendation will indeed serve as a stimulant for greater accomplishments.
